Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to all treatments provided by Balance Back Massage. By booking a treatment, you agree to the terms outlined below. These are in place to ensure clarity, safety, and a professional standard of care.
2. Appointments & Booking
Appointments can be made via the Book now button which directs to Balance Back Massage Jane App, or by direct contact at balancebackmassage@gmail.com.
For mobile appointments, clients must ensure suitable access and space for treatment to take place safely and comfortably.
3. Payment
Card details are securely stored at the time of booking via Jane App.
For individual and duo appointments, 100% payment is due after completion of your treatment and payment is processed via Jane App immediately following your treatment.
For group bookings, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance charged to the card on file after the treatment. Both payments are processed via Jane App
Failure to pay in accordance with agreed terms may result in cancellation of future bookings.
4. Cancellation Policy
For individual and duo appointments, a minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged up to 100% of the treatment fee.
For group bookings, a minimum of 7 days’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice may be charged up to 100% of the treatment fee.
No-shows may be charged up to the full treatment fee.
Repeated late cancellations may result in refusal of future bookings.
5. Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your treatment time may be reduced to avoid affecting other clients.
The full treatment fee will still apply.
6. Health & Medical Conditions
Clients are required to complete a full consultation form and disclose any relevant medical conditions, injuries, or changes in health.
It is your responsibility to inform the therapist of any changes to your health prior to each treatment.
The therapist reserves the right to decline or modify treatment if it is deemed unsafe or inappropriate.
7. Consent to Treatment
All treatments are provided only with informed consent.
You may withdraw consent at any time during the treatment.
Massage therapy is intended to support relaxation, wellbeing, and muscular comfort. It is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.
8. Mobile Massage (Home Visits)
For mobile appointments, clients must provide a safe, clean, and appropriate space for treatment.
This includes:
adequate space for a massage table
reasonable room temperature
access to washing facilities where possible
suitable parking close to the property for unloading equipment
The therapist reserves the right to refuse or shorten treatment if the environment is unsuitable or unsafe.
Mobile appointments are available only within a 15-mile radius of Balance Back Massage. If a booking is made for an address outside this service area, we reserve the right to cancel the appointment
9. Code of Conduct
Professional boundaries are maintained at all times.
Clients are expected to behave appropriately during all treatments.
Any inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of the session and full payment may still be required.
10. Right to Refuse Treatment
The therapist reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment if:
it is deemed medically unsafe
appropriate consent is not given
the environment is unsuitable
behaviour is inappropriate
11. Privacy & Data Protection (GDPR)
All personal data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR regulations.
Information collected is used solely for the purpose of providing safe and appropriate treatment.
Client records are stored securely via Jane App and will not be shared without consent, unless required by law.
Clients have the right to request access to their data or request correction or deletion where appropriate.
14. Liability
Massage therapy is a complementary therapy intended to support wellbeing.
No guarantees are made regarding outcomes.
Clients remain responsible for providing accurate health information prior to treatment.

By booking a treatment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions
